Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Finally got a chance to play. We played the "Winter Home" adventure. One of the best session I've been a part of. One hp away from a TPK. But, our female reaver was able to killed the big bad guy through the sacrifice of the other 3 players. The GM allowed all of the characters who died in...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Is there any information about using TA as is for S&S campaign. So instead of using DCC spells and classes, you just use the book as is for a grittier world. HN Great question. That has been written and submitted for the next copy of DAMN. Its called the S&S setting hack And includes instru...

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
Typo in Circle of Refuge section. The 2nd tier is 6-11. The third tier is 12-21. But, the fourth tier says 15-24, so there is an overlap

Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
Sweet merciful Christ! Tales has the single most awesome (and terrifying) magic item creation rules I've ever seen. Talk about gutpunching the 'magic Christmas tree'. For those who don't have the book yet, basically it involves summoning a demon, and then negotiating/forcing it to bind its life for...

Re: Please review my Monk class
There was a free WOTC Wuxia game called Dragon Fist that came out years ago. It was bought by Green Ronin and they never developed it. However, a new free version inspired by the game is out called Flying Swordsmen. IMO, it is an improved version of Dragon Fist. Check it out here at the homepage: ht...

Re: Please review my Monk class
I've always had mixed feelings about the monk. It never made sense to me that someone is going to be able to use their fist to beat through plate mail armour. I start to get visions of glowing hands with a fire trail behind them as the swing into combat. If I were going to have a fist fighter in th...

If you go here :http://peoplethemwithmonsters.blogspot. ... urces.html
The author has a ninja class that is well done. We just dropped the thief skills and gave the class 1d8 + level once a day self healing.

Re: Crawl! New Class Challenge: RANGER!
This is simply a combination of Oncelor's and Raskal's Rangers. IMO Oncelor's ranger had too many options that seemed to me not quite the correct fit for DCC and I wanted to break with Raskal use of the favored enemy/ duel weapon wielder. You are a tough wilderness warrior, living and lurking at the...

Re: Please review my Monk class
I also wanted to add a little bit of Appendix N as a source for a monk/martial artist: Yasmina, watching, did not see by what roguery of movement or illusion the man in the green turban avoided the terrible disembowelling thrust. But the keen blade whickered between side and lifted arm, and to Yasmi...

Re: Please review my Monk class
Another thought I had was this, thieves and Halflings get luck, Clerics, Elves, and Wizards get magic, and Warriors and Dwarves get Mighty Deeds. Perhaps instead of Chi for luck rolls like thieves, maybe they can use their luck (chi) to heal? Maybe one point of luck (chi) per hit point or maybe a Th...

Re: Please review my Monk class
When I think of monks ( Shaolin, Yamabushi, etc…) I think of a martial religious order much like unarmored clerics. So, what I have done is used some ideas listed above to make a cleric inspired monk as opposed to a warrior inspired martial artist Basically instead of spells they use chi which is me...
