Re: Monster Summoning question.
I believe when you get to success rolls of 20+, the "must remain in the pentacle" text goes away. They are still dispelled if the pentacle is broken, but no longer restricted to remaining within it.

A game publisher that is more concerned with quality than quantity?

Re: Survivors of the Starless Sea
Sounds about right.
It's a 0-level adventure. I'd imagine that a party of 1st levels that had favorable die rolls and didn't do anything stupid could survive it with minimal casualties.
I'll be Judging that one for my group soon. Any advice or pointers you'd care to pass on?

Re: Skill checks involving multiple characters
This came up back in the days of 2nd Ed. D&D. I just made a house rule that each person helping added their relevant attribute bonus to the roll. If you aren't strong/smart enough to get a bonus? Why are you helping then? Step back and let the capable people handle this. It adds the bonus flavor...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
Hey all, Lifelong gamer here. Been playing since I first found the basic set back in 3rd grade. As a result, I've been gaming for about 30 years. Gizrond was the name of my very first D&D character. I fell off the wagon a bit around the time 3.5 hit the peak of its wackiness. Not to turn this in...
