Re: DCC Booger Men!: What'z your best Monster source?

I just use the monster section in the core book, and just slap a fresh coat of paint on any of the existing monsters as required to meet my needs. My current campaign needed "Swamplings"...kind of Toad-like looking humanoids that weren't particularly tough to serve as the henchmen for the ...

Re: How do you define min/max?

The only "Balance" I care about in a game is intra-party. I don't want min-maxing to make one Player Character wildly outshine another, but otherwise, I don't much give a sh*t. My usual policy in any game with a pretty involved character creation engine is to tell everyone to make a PC the...

Re: Ok, I've got my Game up and running...

...As the game ended they were flying across the swamp to The Hive, with about an hour left in the spell mishap, hope to scout and infiltrate before they reverted to normal size... So the group, astride their flying mini-steeds, buzzed across the swamp toward The Hive and set down near a small (wha...

Re: So if you had to pick a belt buckle...

I would pick E, and I would run whatever was necessary to get one (I have a variety of big buckles and wear one nearly every day)

Manowar, Hawkwind and Blue Oyster Cult.

On a more modern note, Brutus.

Re: Ok, I've got my Game up and running...

They questioned a couple of bandit prisoners, got no useful information about the deal their Leader had had with The Old Man in the Marsh, and put them to the sword in front of the villagers. It was determined that Fogwater as a viable village was done with it's compliment of adult males cut by 90%...

I've never understood a store's offer to order something in for me. I can order things myself.

I'm buying convenience from you, not product.

Re: Ok, I've got my Game up and running...

So this is where they are now... The Bandits with their Captain and Lieutenant are now back at the village having recaptured the prisoners (who flat-out reused to flee from fear of the tentacles) I've got the lair of the Old Man in the Marsh ready to go as a straight up dungeon crawl. Ok, a couple ...

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you've gotten right into the swing of things! Sailors on the Starless Sea is an excellent adventure. I haven't seen anything from Harley Stroh that hasn't rocked. Actually, I have yet to see a DCC adventure that hasn't been worth what I paid for it, 3pp or otherwise. Qua...

Re: So GG is not putting out more DCC rulebooks?

No plans for additional rules supplements. I would like the same "easy of entry" 5 years from now as exists now: 1 rulebook, 1 easy choice, no "catching up" to pre-existing players. One additional Annual each year, with optional material, based on learnings and inspirations from...

Ok, I've got my Game up and running...

Allright, 4 sessions in, and the game is going *really* well. Lots of fun, very easy prep, and--now that I have affixed tabs to the appropriate pages--runs quickly :) The "Character Funnel" is a pretty neat concept, and I think it was worth it as far as getting the player random, yet decen...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!

My name's Jeff. I used to be pretty omnipresent at EN World, was an ENnies judge for 6 or 7 years running and am now a mod over at circvsmaximvs.com

Bought DCC on a whim about a month ago, read it twice in two days, switched our weekly game ver and haven't looked back :)

Hola.
