I've instituted a houserule that says that the wizard can one time each day, times level, cast a "safe" spell at minimum success(plus deed die - taken fram Fighter of the same lvl) i.e. a first level Wizard can say that he wants to cast a safe spell. He won't need to roll for success as on...
