Re: Now Available: Stronghold of the Wood Giant Shaman

This sounds like an awesome adventure! I was a bit skeptical when I first read 'a chaotic force lurks behind the scones' but then I realized I just need glasses. It all sounds cool but the catfish troll sounds particularly inspired. This is definitely going on my list of things to buy asap.

Re: center of aereth ???

I would imagine it draws strongly from Burroughs' Pellucidar series also.

Re: ...and back again.

Also...coming back to it...one thing strikes me...is that it would be easier to manage if the spells were in a separate book of their own....don't know if that was ever mooted? I've thought for a while that someone should make a couple of play guides that put all the rules for each class in its own...

And before that, D&D 3.5. Before that, 2e Player's Options. It's definitely not a new idea though I don't think any of them have quite the panache that the DCC wizard has.

Re: Metal Bands is Not the Music for RPGing :)

Man, I love disco. And here I thought I was the only one. I can't say that it particularly makes me think of roleplaying; we never played music when playing AD&D and we still don't.

Re: The Arwich Grinder

The books were salvaged by fireinthedust's characters. IMO they probably kept possession of them and we wouldn't have access to them. Abram wouldn't really be too keen on going back to the tunnels on Curwen farm either. He would much rather find a couple of like-minded villagers and head off looking...

Re: The Arwich Grinder

(OOC: Abram is now Bandit-Beggar!) Abram Cove doesn't mind that the town shuns him. They didn't particularly make friendly with him when he was on the streets begging for scraps or copper. Now, however, he's set aside that pretense and walks the street as if a man remade in the fires of adversity. H...

Re: The Arwich Grinder

Abram will level up to a Warrior (I'll get that finished up today). I have not run or played or read any of the adventures you listed, RC, so I'm fine with anything.

Re: The Arwich Grinder

Abram Cove waves after Balin and Pratel. "I'm gonna watch this thing burn to the ground." He hopes he'll be able to catch up with them later.

OOC: Abram Cove will stay until the house burns up. If nothing happens during that time he'll return to town.

"Wait a moment, Balin!" calls Abram Cove . "Did we get all those Curwens? I don't relish the idea of some crazed Curwen we missed going down in that hole to release all those unkillable hungry spirit things down there in revenge for what we've done here. I done for Bessie Curwen myse...

Re: The Arwich Grinder

Reunited: Abram Cove looks around at the faces around him and counts. Too soon he reaches the end. "Half our numbers gone to this madness." He stares at the flames licking around the windows of the house. "I'd do the same to the tunnels below if I thought they would burn. So what do w...

Re: The Arwich Grinder

Yes, your characters are the only ones left in the above group. And you have all four of your characters remaining while drpete and I have only one. MrHemlocks has two remaining but needs to make a saving throw (if he fails it, he'll be down to one character as well). Pre-save we've lost exactly hal...

Abram Cove grimaced. This killing looked to be unpleasant but he doubted the Curwen's would just let them waltz away. Not that Abram wanted to. ABOVE: Badr Balik is battered by the giant baby's left hook and tumbles past Bron lifeless while his soul follows Godwin to the afterlife.
