I am confused by the learning a spell paragraph on p. 124

What are the criteria for the check? What happens if the check fails? Does the wizard roll randomly for a new spell instead of learning the spell they have found?

Does all cleric disapproval listed in the rules disappear after a day or is some of it lasting? P. 29 notes it 'probably' resets.

Does e.g. Disapproval from sin require sacrifice to lift, or will it refresh after a day?
