Hey everybody, I'm running an open DCC RPG funnel at GarageCon at 2pm in Bloomington, Indiana on Saturday, June 22nd. Show up, roll dice, die horribly.

Re: Tales from the Road: My Road Crew experience thus far

We're closing in on 15 sessions of my public DCC RPG campaign at the Common Room in Bloomington, Indiana. We kicked off the campaign in January with a homebrew funnel which was a mashup of Lovecraft and Leiber. Plenty of zero level death and mayhem ensued. We've been meeting once a week since Januar...

Public Game in Louisville, KY

I'm running a public DCC RPG game in Louisville, KY at Role of the Die on Sunday, March 17 from 12-4pm. We'll use pregenerated characters in a homebrew adventure. See you there!

FLGS in Louisville, KY

I'll be in Louisville for a few days in March, and would like to run a public game. Does anyone know of an appropriate game shop I can approach with the idea?

Re: Classic (A)D&D Modules Ideal for DCC

Strip the ideas out of a module and do the conversion on the fly. The setting, plot, and weirdness of these modules is more important than the nuts and bolts of game mechanics.

Re: Time for a new tag-line?

The OP's observation about the intro text rings true with me as well and is one of the first inconsistencies in the marketing spin that I noticed. This did not prevent me from being the proud parent of a Wizard cover book and Runner of Public Games.

I ended up at Acorn Books, which is Appendix N Elysium! Picked up a number of vintage finds.

Appendix N in Columbus, OH

I'm going to be in Columbus, OH and was wondering if someone from the area can recommend a bookstore in which to purchase new or used Appendix N materials.

Re: Great Gonzo!

Holy thread resurrection, Batman! After taking six months off of gaming to completely restructure my life, I'm back to gaming. I wrote a homebrew funnel, and was so inspired that a larger setting has blossomed from it. I'm fixated on the World Tour belt buckle, so I'm running public games at the FLG...

The Wizard edition is impressive in person. The book seems physically easier to read and use as well.

Right, it's that sentence that made me think, "How does this fit into the zeros' backgrounds?"

Re: Anyone combine "Portal" with "Doom"?

It seems like the implication here is that a first level wizard starts knowing a certain number of spells, and the rules apply to gaining additional spells beyond those known at first level. It didn't occur to me that advancing to first level from zero would satisfy these conditions as well.

Re: Anyone combine "Portal" with "Doom"?

Having the wizard not immediately learn spells is brilliant. Magical things will begin around the character. Flipping the point of view with the cleric class, nice. The diety takes an interest in YOU. I just watched Jason and the Argonauts, where Hera and Zeus are playing with Jason while on Mount O...

Re: Anyone combine "Portal" with "Doom"?

I ran Portal last night and we had a blast. Twelve zeros went in and 6 came out. The party bailed on the last encounter, when they were so close to a combat-free victory! My idea with combining Portal and Doom is that the zeros are from Hirot (hmm "Zeros From Hirot" might become the first ...

Module PDF

Forgive me if this has already been answered, but I'd like to know if I'm entitled to download PDF versions of modules that I've purchased. I'm starting my DCC game on Friday, and I'm impatient about waiting for the new modules to arrive in the post :)
