The module arrived today. It exists! There is a bonus 3rd level adventure, and a couple small extras as well.

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing: Appendix N Adventures

I got a tracking number today. (Though I did email to see what was up.) I am waiting on 4 things, and was asking about another product that he had mentioned was going to finishing up ship at the end of this month.

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing...what gives? Never buy again.

Did he say when it would ship? He told me I was in "the next batch to go out" over on ODD74 a week ago, but I am not sure what that actually means. Or if I am actually in the next batch to go out, based on all his past communications.

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing...what gives? Never buy again.

John is a little bit better about commenting over at the ODD74 forum. There is a thread there about Delving Deeper. Some people have been waiting 30 months for their copy of that! Crazy. I feel your pain: i'm waiting for that as well. And X-Plorers and a gaming box. I have no idea now why I thought ...

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing...what gives? Never buy again.

If you weren't part of the original Kickstarter to get the modules, you probably wouldn't know his wife had a miscarriage, etc. (It was mentioned as an update there, I think, but not on his web store.) I wouldn't assume people are going out of their way to be jerks.

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing...what gives? Never buy again.

I'm waiting for a Delving Deeper box set I ordered in September of last year, plus some other stuff from his store, and the modules from this Kickstarter. He's been updating the Kickstarter page with his progress on things. He's had a tough year. I probably wouldn't buy anything from him again, thou...

Re: Limited edition/availabilty

I played in a game with raven_crowking a couple weekends ago in a room packed full of Pathfinder people. I think most of the players at the table new about DCC RPG, with a couple brand new players. There was definitely some interest in this new game we were playing from the Pathfinder guys. That sto...

Re: Limited edition/availabilty

Yeah, I find it hard to get worked up about stuff like this. They're trying to encourage people to come out and actually play the game, not collect modules. That seems like a laudable goal, and this seems like a good way to do that. The limited edition module from the first collectors edition of the...

I'm not sure physical version are still available. He was selling subscriptions from his online store, but he was planning on shutting that down shortly. You can see more information over here.

Just wanted to say the Vile Worm PDF set is really great. The different printing options are a nice touch, as is the system neutral PDF.

I've posted a message (on the quiet) OSR Toronto mailing list. If you are on Google+, it's also a good way to find players I find.

Re: Interest in a "World Tour" in Toronto?

Depending on when you were planning on running games I'd love to come play. Silver Snail runs the D&D Encounters program. Right now that happens in their cafe, but they also set up tables at the back of the store. They are apparently also building a gaming area in their basement. I'd get in touch.

Re: Anyone running LOTFP modules with DCC??

The section that most people find objectionable are the sorcerer rituals. ( I wrote about that on my blog. ) The book is probably not suitable for children, but the reaction it garnered seems out of whack with it's actual content. It's a minimalist setting, a hex crawl modelled after old Judges Guil...

Also the bald dwarves from Dark Sun.

Re: Disappointed with the FLGS in regards to DCC RPG.

One problem is that most gaming stores have shifted their focus to selling Magic cards and the like. (And I think that's fair, it seems like there is way more money to be made selling Magic cards and running tournaments. The base of players seems much larger.) In Toronto we have a few good comic boo...

Very cool. Also, I doubt WotC is going to give a damn about posting photoshopped covers of adventures they no longer sell.

Looks good. I read it last night. Short and sweet. Looks like it'd be good for a quick evening session.

(There are some typos you'll probably notice now that you've sent the PDF everyone. :P)

Yep, it looks like they were getting a healthy amount of books in. I need to go look for Emirikol Was Framed! Hopefully this trend continues and it's not a battle buying this stuff.

Re: Getting DCC in Toronto, Distributor Question

Man, they were supposed to call me when stuff comes in. Do they have any of the new modules?

I was going to ask Wayne to order in the remaining books. I play D&D Encounters there so I kind of want to give them my support.
