Re: DCC and AD&D
I cannot recommend Caverns of Thracia highly enough. It is so perfectly suited to DCC. I'm pretty sure this is the best module ever published. (excepting of course the fine offerings of our colleagues at Goodman. Thank you fellers for understanding what a DM actually requires to run a completely Rad...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
I love mighty deeds. Are they overpowered? Well, I dunno. In last nights session, I had a 2nd level wizard spellburn 17 points on a magic missile and deliver like 74 points of damage to a super baddy to avoid TPK. Yeah it came at a cost, but is some little MD going to do that? I think the interestin...

Used in play last night. It's nice to have the physical book to flip through.
I'm hoping that the next product we see is an index. My kingdom for an index!

Re: Brave Halfling Publishing: Appendix N Adventures
Awesome! I just ran my party through an Appendix N hack of Lost City, in fact. Next up, Dwellers of the Forbidden City! Maybe I can incorporate this little gem in there....

Re: What do you have in minds for your players?
Oh boy, i have a group that collectively have never done against the giants, the drow, the demonweb pits. How lucky am i? Man. You know I never have either! I owned a bunch of those modules, but never ran them. Much less played them. I wish I had time to play more than once a week I'd join your gam...

Re: The Next Point of Business
Ipad app. I love rolling dice. I love flavor text and variability. I can't stand page flipping. I use my ipad for tracking initiative anyway. So I'm writing an app that wrangles the tables a little. I'm writing this app for my own game but maybe Mr. Goodman would be interested in licensing a DCC Jud...

Re: Who needs Read Magic?
Yeah, funny. Considering how few spell slots a wizard gets (which seems totally appropriate to me, btw), I can't imagine a player wasting a slot for a magic decoder ring. Which leads me to believe that this spell has other import that I'm just not seeing.

Re: Thankyou Goodman Games!
Thanks for putting so much time, energy, and love into this set of rules. This game is fantastic.
I love the wizard spells, love the thought put into magic item creation. This game feels custom made for my style of play.
Well done!

Who needs Read Magic?
Hi all, I'm a little confused about the utility of the 1st level Wizard spell Read Magic. Does a wizard require this spell in order to cast from a scroll? If so, why do thieves get to cast from scrolls if they don't have this spell? If not, then what's this spell supposed to be for? An extra fancy R...
