Re: Spells and multiple castings
But feel free as the DM to smack down any punk player who wants to turn a rule or lack of rule into a ticket to immortality.

Re: Best Reading Locales for Appendix N?
Though not appendix N, I read the Dragonlance novels while training in the desert on a hillside at sunset (the end of the working day). That was fun! Lord Dunsany should be read in like some hidden stream in a forest.

No problem RC is a good guy. That was my selling point and it looks like I picked two winning modules between you two.

Is it ok to do a one size fits all for Lawful and Chaotic or should I try two seperate ones?

Re: What do you use for a campaign?
I am fortunate enough for my players (well the two that are left) to have never paid attention to Greyhawk. The deities in that setting blow so I use Norse, Greek and Egyptian deities ( with a very CHAOTIC Cthulhu mythos as well) yes I'm a dung stirrer!

Though I have no idea of this first Con at our convention center here in Buffalo, I would love to see GG bring some much needed sunlight to this gaming void!

Re: 2012: Transylvanian Adventures & The Transylvanian Grimo
I usually care more about my Players' character names. I read some terrible ones over the years. Someone tried to walk a Dark Sun character on with the name Voodoo Chicken. That makes for some serious role playing there!

Colin you have been making great points on this. I'm clearly beginning to waffle on my capital C stance of Cthulhu's alignment to seeing it both ways.

Re: Crawl! New Class Challenge! Draft Picks! (Pick the best!
Bards are incredible. People just expect them to cast, thieve, and fight better than the more focused classes. What makes them special is that they can do all three well. In 5-person party, they support all of the other roles; in a 3-4 person party they fill gaps; in a 1-2 person party, they're a a...

Yeah between what Mythfish said and Colin's last post, I am pondering this longer. By the way Colin, you don't have to say BBQ sauce for us yanks. HP sauce kicks ass.

Re: Another Recover the Body Question
I do too but if I can make the rule lighter for a character that I like to keep going, I as a DM like it. When we were kids, a party member chased down a giant spider that he wanted xp for so our GM had Lolth "mark" him. Needless to say the drow were always around looking for him.

Re: Why is Cthulhu Neutral?
I think an argument could be made that Cthulhu is Neutral, but most of his followers are Chaotic. I think this is an important distinction. Puny human intellect does not always properly understand the workings of MIGHTY GODS. One can serve a Lawful power, while being Chaotic themselves (and vice ve...

Sorry praying for your god to come back when the stars are right and destroy civilization is chaotic! He's just very powerful chaos but still chaos.
