Anything in particular you'd like tips about...?
I'd say, say yes to everything your players come up with -- it just doesn't have to be "yes" in the way they're thinking...
Also, the Dice Chain is the handiest tool when you're trying to resolve something unexpected.

Re: Class/Alignment combo mechanics ?.
Also, characters are very much "front loaded" and have their abilities from Level 1. Gaining more spells for spellcasters is something that happens as you level up, and general improvements happen as everyone levels up, but you've got everything going on from the get-go. Also also, I too a...

I'm intending to run something here on this board, but I think I need to wait until after Spawn of Cyclops Con for the free headspace in which to do it. Sooo... does early March work for you?

Re: Spellcasting services
For me, magic is not something that's traded on the Dow Jones. It's spooky and deadly and most people are afraid of it.... So IF the party is going to seek out a caster for some kind of aid, something that's beyond their own resources, that's a sub-plot or almost a side-campaign in itself to even fi...

Re: Awarding XP
If you're running the published adventures, then basically each keyed area would constitute an encounter. So Portal Under the Stars in the back of the rulebook would have 9 encounters. Area 9 is a treasure vault and likely poses no threat, no loss of resources (rather an uptick in resources!), etc. ...

Re: webstore shipping question
It's really more of an info@ type of question, since maybe you're experiencing a glitch that needs to be addressed by the tech team... But when I go to the cart and put in Road Crew stickers, there is an option to select Road Crew Swag as a shipping option, which zeroes out the cost. If you're not s...

Re: Digital Maps for VTT?
The 5e maps that cover the original adventure areas are new but hew pretty darn closely to the originals. I think it was in S3 that they caught a design mistake where a stairway on one level didn't actually line up to the lower level, and that was corrected... There is new material, which have maps ...

Re: Patron Bond
By the rules, there's nothing stopping you from casting it multiple times on yourself -- keeping in mind that it is a ritual that takes a week or more, in-game. Looking at the narrative side, well, if you have employees do you enjoy them constantly hitting you up for a raise each and every pay day? ...

Re: Patron Bond
Well, the spell is the abstraction of the mortal and the Patron forming their relationship over the course of (presumably) a very intense week or more for the mortal... There wouldn't be a need to cast it twice on oneself -- but arguably, the mortal could want to re-negotiate the terms of the deal, ...

The idea would be to start posting those posts there.
If it takes off and seems to merit it's own section, they can be moved to that new section at that time. Duzzat make sense?

Re: How to create an interesting setting?
I've been running a fair amount of Star Wars in the last year and a half -- where the difference between different climes and different planets is no difference at all! So what crosses my mind here is that if you want to mix around the terrain which the campaign takes place across -- snowy mountains...

Because of the license for these books from Wizards of the Coast, Goodman cannot provide digital assets of any kind for anything from the books.
Wizards do offer most of the original modules for purchase in PDF.

Re: Collecting DCCs
I don't know of anything formalized for that... When I've wanted to asses the worth of something, I've just looked at completed eBay listings and paid attention to only the ones that actually sold for a sense of how much something was really worth -- and then taken that with a grain of salt given th...

Re: New versions of old mods
I've actually run Sellswords of Punjar -- a 4e mod -- using the DCC RPG. A few scribbled notes, which I expanded upon each time I've run it, is all I needed because DCC is a very forgiving rule set.
I have considered running some 3e era modules, too, just haven't actually done it yet...

Re: Word of Command, Lotus Stare = Suicide
I think you are interpreting those correctly. Whether they are "death spells" is pretty circumstantial... Low-level success for Word of Command only lasts 1+ rounds, and the target may not be able to complete the command before they snap out of it. The "self-destructive" element ...
