Re: 5E arrives at Goodman Games
Our DM at the time was mostly RaW. He didn't use encumberance and finally caved on not having spell casters lose spells after unconsciousness and the ridiculous limits on magical healing and zero hit points. But stuck to most everything else. Limiting in what low to middle level wizards could do. Ch...

Re: 5E arrives at Goodman Games
I think finarvyn's description of D&D and why players prefer it over other systems is spot on. My experiences and my group's preferences are similar: OD&D, 1st, & 2nd editions: Too limiting and punishing to PC's. (Yes. Much of our group has been playing since the early '80s.) 3.x: Was gr...

Re: 5E arrives at Goodman Games
I plan on running Hoard for my regular game group and these 5E adventures for my boys. Right now I am translating the Idylls of the rat King using 5E on the fly for my boys. We are loving it, but I am looking forward to having all the stats in sync to make the games run that much smoother after they...

Re: 5E arrives at Goodman Games
In reading Hoard of the Dragon Queen, I would say linear isn't quite the right term. As there are nodes for the players to choose from in each chapter as per this theory of adventure design: http://thealexandrian.net/wordpress/8015/roleplaying-games/node-based-scenario-design-part-6-alternative-node...

Re: 5E arrives at Goodman Games
Glad to hear it sold well. I am really looking forward to running them for my two sons.
I am interested in the print and PDF bundle for these adventures, so I will wait out the month.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!

As you have no doubt noticed, our resident Eladrin wizard is currently represented by that very figure... Here is the page of our Hall of Heroes. Also accessible from the link on my magehammer's realm website. http://magehammer.googlepages.com/starshieldgamingsociety%3Ahallofheroes D&D is fun, n...

Re: 4e goodman covers.
Thanks, I am glad you like it. I figured after 26 years with mostly the same people, it was time to level up our gaming experience by taking our gaming to the Internet, which I think is one of a Dungeonmaster's greatest assets. My site in addition to our wiki has really enhanced our gaming sessions....

Re: 4e goodman covers.
Thanks for the sentiments. My Keep on the Shadowfell game is in full swing and doing well. There is a huge amount of excitement from us 26+ years-playing gamers. (All of us are over 30). Check out my website if you are interested in its progress. That site says it all on how psyched I am to ...

Re: 4e goodman covers.
I love the old feel of the old DCC covers and lament their passing... Having said that, I think the new covers are awesome in their own rights. As one of the lucky ones who managed to snag a copy of Punjar: Tarnished Jewel for Free RPG Day, I must say the inside layout of Punjar did hearken back to ...

Re: I just got the book, and...
Ummm...I for one care about how good the game is. I have been playing Castles and Crusades for the past couple of years. Talk about typos. But they have made a great effort to correct that and have done a great job. The point being Castles and Crusades is going strong despite typos. I am sure the sa...

C&C Simultaneous Release
Hi,
I was wondering what the chances are to have a C&C conversion guide, or even better yet, a C&C version of all new DCC releases ready for simultaneous release? Maybe just a PDF version even.

More Castles and Crusades Please
Hi, I absolutely love the fact you guys re-did The Mysterious Tower to C&C. (All but one of my PCs fell victim to the acid trap.) I know you have another original module coming out for it, but I love Dungeon Crawl Classics, and if it is in any way possible, I would love to see more of the DCCs c...
