Re: Do you own specialty dice (d5, d7, d14, etc)?
I use the weirder dice shapes. I like a different colour for each so players know to reach for the red one for example if they want a d7 or the purple one if they need a d30. I like the Impact miniatures dice best and have also bought other shapes they make such as d9 d11 d18 etc...I like to use the...

Re: How do you deal with stupidly cautious players?
I second the Crow King on this. Let the actions and consequences drive the changes in behaviour if needs be. That said, I think if I were thrust into a crazy dangerous fantasy land full of corruption, magic, monsters and things that go bump in the night...I may well exercise extreme caution too! You...

Re: Weapons do D6/2D6
Interesting post. I think the idea of reducing damage for class might be a problem if you are emulating Appendix N source material rather than D&D. Some wizards are good with swords etc..Gandalf? Overall though I like the idea of smoothing out the damage dice variation. It does become a bit bori...

As far as I know, there are three versions of the box... the Silver Foil (with spinning disc) the Gold Foil (with spinning disc) the Colour Cover version (without the spinning disc) I went with the Colour Cover version because I like that art better than the foil art. I asked GG if they woukd suply ...

Sorcerer's Cave
Simple really...your kickstarters of the Judges Guild, Grimtooth and Metamorphosis products has got me thinking (very briefly) what else would be good to re-publish? I remember having a lot of fun witht the Sorcerer's Cave board game from Ariel and Gibson. It was bright and novel in design. I enjoye...

Re: Converting over to DCC
Hey Mr.Hemlocks
I actually LOVE the lack of class and race options in DCC lol. Each to their own though
It's one of the big selling points for me. I love Race as Class too. Guess which D&D I grew up with ? I like how DCC takes that idea and really makes each one special and fun.

Converting over to DCC
Hi y'all. I recently started a home-made campaign for 5e...cobbled together from bits made up and pinched. It is going fine and the players are liking it but I want to play DCC and roll funkier dice lol! So I have made the switch over and converted the two characters. No problems there as I only had...

Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D sour
In DCC some characters are going to be better than others overall. Remember...if you are rolling randomly then the fates decide who enters the funnel. The stats you roll make a big difference in power too. The hit points you roll as well. The starting spells you roll as well... This is a big factor ...

Re: *OFFICIAL* DCC RPG dice, at last!
Hey cjoepar.. I believe these dice are tied in with the production schedule for the Impact Miniatures DCC dice kickstarter. They are due to land very soon and be distributed in the New Year. I have the d5 and d7 and the quality is excellent. Goodman Games 'coming soon' section has updated the expect...

Re: DCC Annual: Content Wish List
Maybe...a Bard class. Just maybe...as long as it is distinct from the other classes. I would like it to have a completely fresh spell list that is self contained in the annual (no cross ref) No Paladin. No Monk. No Ranger. No Assassin....classes that blur boundaries....urgh. A few ready made interes...

What a lovely book!
Hi everyone, Just been in my local gaming store and they have the Metamorphosis Alpha Deluxe book. Man...that thing is glorious. I mean, out of the park gorgeous. The opening art of the ship is completely awesome and sets the flavour brilliantly. I cannot afford it sadly as I just dropped a fortune ...

Re: DCC Module Scaling
Yes I bought those two on pdf they are good little scenarios and I was planning on squeezing them in to the equation as well. I already ran some of the modules in the earlier days of the system. We did Sailors, People, Emerald, 13th, Carnifex and Black Gate. We enjoyed them all except Carnifex which...

Re: DCC Module Scaling
Thanks, some good ideas there :) I have collected all the GG DCCRPG modules (bar the more obscure ones). So I have just over 20 of them and will have Purple Planet and Chained Coffin to go at as well...at least. I have a couple of 3PP adventures too and yes some good stuff available but this time ar...

Re: DCC Module Scaling
Hi thanks. Yes I was planning on giving them two each which would give us four pcs. I think maybe boosting the level might be the easiest answer. You think a group of four at one level higher will be about right for the modules? I have ran a few games of this but I have nothing like your experience ...

DCC Module Scaling
Hi all, I am considering running all the DCC modules in the near future (after my official dice arrive) and I am really looking forward to it. The only real issue I have ever had with the game is I don't have many players to work with. I have either two or three players depending on timing but it is...

I've run it where I handled all the tables etc. it worked just fine and I enjoyed that they didn't know what would happen for various results etc...I made them jot down notes to learn how their spells play out for various success numbers. I would strongly advise writing down all the related page num...

Love the cover art! I have never ever played or run a mutant, gamma world style game. I just bought The Mutant Epoch game to have a play of and see what it is about and what these styles of games have on offer. I had heard good things... It looks excellent and potentially a heap of fun. A Mutant Cra...
