Re: What adventures will be available when core book release
The spells take up nearly 200 pages in total. Whereas the beta rules had a few sample spells, the core rules feature level 1-5 spells for wizards and clerics, plus level 1-3 spells for several patrons. Each spell has its own misfire and corruption entries (per request) and the layout no longer &quo...

Re: Level Limits
Aw, you don't need us for optional XP rules. Do what suits your game! Although, that said, something like this would be a fine addition to one of the annuals. //H Harley it is possible for you to tell us a little bit more about the annuals? It is open to all? How we could apply? What sort of articl...

Re: High PC Mortality in S&S?
or other extremes like a "hit point kicker" (HackMaster). Hackmaster has a high mortality rate, even with the hit point kicker. the threshold of pain of the character is like 30% of their hit points (it does improve with lvls) and the weapons deals extra damage if the damage die hits the ...

Halfling two weapon fighting rules?
If the halfling has an Agility higher than 16, he instead uses the normal two-weapon fighting rules for his Agility. That means he no longer crits on a natural 16, cant fight with two equal-sized one-handed weapons and no longer fumbles only when both dice come up a 1? I think it just uses the Dex ...

Re: Cthulhu a neutral god?
What about his followers?
According to the beta rules they "must match" his god's alignment.
What do Cthulhu's clerics fight for? the eternal indifference of the old ones? or they are just mad scholars, dark philosophers that wizards consult in their research for magic power?

Re: Get rid of infravision!
I'm not sure about that one. Rules for illumination (like rules for encumbrance) are usually ignored... most adventure's groups include at least one human and that forces at least one character to carry a torch... So yeah, many players will never notice if infravision is removed from the game. But I...

Re: Cthulhu a neutral god?
I could see Cthulhu's worshippers having mundane animals as "unholy". While a Cleric with a nature goddess like Ildavir considering Mundane Animals as unholy is hilarious. The entry on turning says "A cleric can attempt to turn away un-dead, demons, and devils. Some clerics of partic...

Re: Cthulhu a neutral god?
I think the issue seems like neutral alignment is not really well defined yet. Neutrality with Cthulhu seems to work as you say fynarvin like indifference but... by the way its handled the cleric's abilities and titles it seems like it doesn't fit on that sort of neutrality. 5th lvl are called druid...

Cthulhu a neutral god?
Hi :D I just printed my copy of the beta rules. I'm enjoying the reading. I plan to run a game soon so I may start to post some real feedback. Anyway I wanted to share one question... Why is Cthulhu a neutral deity on DCC? I'm not an expert on Lovecraft's works. But that tiny detail in the game has ...
