Gold Foil Limited Edition on eBay
Sometimes things get tight and we need to make a quick bit of cash. I am selling my gold foil limited edition DCC RPG hardcover with a starting bid $75, buy it now of $150. I had it signed by Joseph Goodman at Game Kastle in 2012, as you can see on the photos of the listing. If you're interested in ...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
Hi, I'm Orion. I live in the city of San Francisco, California. I love the DCC RPG and while I don't have a lot of time to devote to playing the game because of school, this is a game I definitely want to judge and play. Am very interested in meeting bay area DCC-fans for possibilities of possible g...

Re: Sword Magic
Thanks for the quick clarification! That certainly makes more sense than having to make several checks with wildly disparate results.

Sword Magic
When creating a magic sword using the Sword Magic spell, do you make a spell chech for each column and for alignment, or is it one spell check for the entire row? Also, does the spell burn apply to each check, or do you have to spell burn for each check?

Thief Action Dice Question
The description of the thief says that it can use its action dice to make skill checks. So my question is, can a thief use his or her action dice to attempt multiple skill checks at once? Could he or she, say, sneak and then pick a pocket in combat, or sneak and backstab, or fire a ranged weapon and...

Hawkwind (Moorcock) I would never have made this connection. Dorian Hawkmoon is one of my favorite Moorcock characters, but I'm not familar with a band called "Hawkwind." (Let me rephrase that -- I have heard people talk about a group associated with Moorcock, but have never heard their m...

I've noticed the books in the magic-users library contain some culture references. Here is what I found: Gygax (no explanation needed) Hawkwind (Moorcock) Ecology of the Grue (Zork) Hatecraft (?) Re: Thieves and Reading Scrolls
So, are characters that read magic scrolls designed to fail, except for high level rogues? If that is the case, then I am fine with that, but it seems bizarre to indicate a die that will almost certainly fail the spell check result. Do non-wizard classes add their level to spell checks with scrolls,...

Soon the DCC RPG PDF will be mine, and many adventurers will soon be in peril. The accumulated doom of all their looting and reaving will clutch about their fate and all the players will look up at me and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "Roll a Reflex saving throw."

Will there be a PDF of the main book, and if so, will we see it sooner than the print version? Also, do pre-order people get a free PDF (if there is one) or do they have to purchase it separately?

Re: Portal Under the Stars (Free RPG Day - Austin, Texas)
The idea of some characters having meager magic, maybe represented as 0-level spells, has to be one of the better suggestions I've seen. If Goodman doesn't do this, then someone needs to hop on this.
