Re: Sezrekan's Dice

A bit of a warning though - I use my Sez dice when I Judge for the very reasons you mentioned, but I won’t use them if I’m playing anymore. Dice dedicated to the most evil of Wizards don’t favor PCs much, in my experience, and I roll terribly (seriously, really, really bad) whenever I’ve risked it. ...

Re: A couple of rules questions

You get Mega Mutations by rolling 98-00 on Table 3:2 Mutations (pg 44). Table 3:3 Mega Mutations is directly below it on the same page.

Fumble dice per armor type is listed on pages 124-125.

Re: Any word on Mutant Crawl Classics?

Anyone know when I will get my copy of Mutant Crawl Classics? If you were a Kickstarter backer (or your FLGS was), anytime now. There’s a bunch of backers that have already received theirs and they’ve posted pictures on social media. If not, not much longer, I’d think. Why is there not a message ca...

Re: How to Write Adventure Modules that Don't Suck - formats

The recent KS funded version was only in hardback, yes. As you deduced, it was upgraded to that format during the campaign.

My copy of the original version from 2007 is a 32 page softcover.

Re: Advanced Dungeon Crawl Classics?

Some of Joseph’s design goals were to use 3x era rules, stripped of complexities like feats, attacks of opportunity, miniatures and battle-mats, etc, to run games that had the same “feel” as OD&D sessions back in the 1970s. So I do not think an Advanced version is in the works, at least not from...

Re: Casting while bound

My Judge-ment call:

Bound and gagged? No.

Hands bound in rope? Caster has to use a d16 for his/her spellcheck.

Bound head to foot w/ rope (but not gagged)? D14 or less, depending on how generous I'm feeling.

Bound in irons? Elf - No. Wizard - d12 or less, depending on how generous I'm feeling.

Karim, Speaking just in reference to Portal and/or funnels, make it easy on yourself and simply level up the survivors at the end of the adventure, per Joseph Goodman's advice here: http://www.goodman-games.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=106791#p106791 I have run Portal Under the Stars dozens of times a...

Yes :)

Not so much for publication, more for a outside-the box convention game or something along those lines.

Short but not sweet - anyone who did not achieve a result of 20 or higher is crushed by falling massive rock. http://i.imgur.com/bSG6irF.jpg The rock's descent shears away a significant section of the cliff face, leaving behind a jagged (though climbable) mess. To move things along a bit, anyone who...
