Re: Supporting multiple systems within the DCC's

I think that a module designed for 4e has different requirements (and probably a different approach) from modules designed for TSR editions, or even 3.x. Consequently, a module that was originally designed for 4e and then converted has little appeal, for me, especially since there are an increasing ...

Count me as another who doesn't run the DCCs with 3E (I prefer OD&D(1974), AD&D, or C&C). I can convert 3E stuff, if I have to -- although I'm much more likely to buy a module I don't have to convert. For example, I've purchased all of the C&C modules and both of the 1E conversions (...

I agree, too. I really enjoyed the C&C stuff you've relased so far.

With regard to primes then, would I say that the werebadger has dex/wis, etc. or just say that when using ranger or thief abilities it gets its level + I tend more towards treating it as a standard monster, rather than worrying about the details of adding classes; for a lycanthrope with rogue and r...

Re: re:

How's that? That's not exactly how I'd do it, but it would work. The hit dice seem unnecessarily weird to me, though. I'd stick with standard "monster" hit dice that get you in the range (for attack and hit points), and then give the class abilities as "special abilities." Somet...

Well, I'd go beyond just giving them extra hit dice, but I wouldn't bother with any detailed/careful schemes for adding class levels -- more trouble than its worth, IMO. If I wanted a Wererat that's also a 5th level Rogue, I'd so something like this: 1. Start with a wererat. (3d8) 2. Give him two or...

Were you playing D&D d20 with tons of books, or more or less just Core Books?...I'm curious what folks in this thread would attribute their burn out to, more specifically than 3.x, if they can.... I've been playing D&D since the late 70s. At one time or another, I've played just about every...

Re: What are you playing?

Just curious what sort of d20 stuff people are playing lately, in addition to our stuff. I'm running C&C (some in Wilderlands, some with Yggsburgh). Other material I'm using includes: OSRIC modules Judges Guild material (from any source -- old JG, Necromancer Games material, your material, etc)...

Yeah, me too. C&C revitalized my gaming; I went from burnt out to running three different campaigns, and loving it.
