Purple Sorcerer Kickstarter Underway...
Thanks to everyone that has already supported our latest campaign: Dread Specters of the Shrieking Vale! It's a jungle adventure and campaign setting written by my son Ben, who has been excited about creating DCC content since he was a little guy. Luckily he's grown up to be a great writer, and I th...

Re: Lighthouse at Shipbreaker Shoals now available
This is a cool little adventure well suited for con play, since it looks on first read that it would easily fit into a 3-4 hour window. And most of us can always use a fun little seaside village/personalities to drop into the campaign when needed. (And its loose ties to Frawgs and Larvik Island give...

Lankhmar Character Generator
I've been absent from these OG boards for way too long! For those who haven't heard elsewhere, a few months back I posted the beta version of the Lankhmar character generator: https://purplesorcerer.com/lankhmar Lots of Lankhmar specific customization in this one, so as everyone gets deeper into the...

Yep, did the same thing: that $50 vanished pretty quickly.herecomethejudge wrote: Thanks. I just bought all of the 3e DCC modules during the DTRPG sale (at $1 each, how could I not).
And Raven-Crowking’s advice is excellent. (As always).

PSG: The Crypt in Cadaver Canyon Kickstarter!
https://purplesorcerer.com/images/crypt_ks2.jpg I can’t believe it’s been almost two and a half years since we published our last Purple Sorcerer Games adventure: so I’m thrilled to announce that the next adventure in Mark Bishop’s ‘Nebin Pendlebrook’ line of adventures, The Crypt in Cadaver Canyon...

Re: Weird dice.
I live in Brazil, and here it's close to impossible to get the weird dice. It's very difficult to buy online because it gets extremmely expensive. So I wanted to know if someone has a 3d model for a 3d printer. As a complete 3D printing novice, I'd be interested to hear if folks have had success pr...

Re: too political for GFA?
I acknowledge that an adventure of a political nature could be offputting to some, and as such I'll publish this on my own if I get it developed to that point and feel that its worth sharing, that way all blame/praise will be upon me and not a group of myself and others. Thanks again for everyone's...

So, I'm a new player from Russia, I've started looking up role playing games online after I tried a D&D game during a trip... only to find out that there's no community in the provincial city where I live. There are players in big cities like Moscow, St Petersburg, Novosibirsk etc, but not here...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
So if the core book is Step 1, can anyone offer some recommendations for Step 2…? As other has stated, there really is no step two: it’s a tenant of Joseph Goodman that everything needed is in the core book, and that happily remains true! However, as you’ve noticed, there is an incredibly creative ...

Oh, that's going to suck if GoodReader goes away. I use that app daily. After further investigation I found them, thanks Jon! My iPad is getting old and slow when it comes to some larger files (Call of Cthulhu 7th ed, Dresden Files, etc.). How does the Pro model hold up to larger (100MB plus) files? The Pro seems to be blazing fast with just about everything. (Faster t...

Re: NPC exposition and endless flavor text
I agree with Stephen that keeping it brief is best. (If the player's basic motivations can't be summed up in a couple of paragraphs, things likely need reworking). But you can certainly provide more background to the judge, and then have this info revealed to the players piecemeal throughout the tex...

They all 'work' fantastically, but the fourth printing does have quite a few additional pieces of art. (Adding to the absurd amount of cool images in the other printings).

Changed the app I was using to read it and problem solved! For anyone making the same mistake as me, the Adobe reader app does what you need (I was using GoodReader before). GoodReader seems to be displaying the bookmarks just fine on my iPad Pro. (Though sadly, it appears the app might have been a...

Each of the adventures do stand alone, but it certainly can't hurt to have Perils to help streamline starting any of the adventures.
Send me your RPGNow email address to info (at) purplesorcerer (dot) com, and I'll send you a Perils download code to tide you over until GenCon.
