Stomp the Typo

Unsure where to search for the list, didn't see it on Reddit r/dcc. But I don't see a link here either. Kickstarter? Do I email you guys? So far it's looking good, but I'm not deep-diving. I got all excited a moment ago, however, as I thought Lankhmar City guide, p.17 had one, but apparently "d...

Re: Werewolves?

I've been pondering how the game Werewolf could be adapted to an RPG. The card game, mind you, a werewolf version of Murder Handshake or Mafia. The players all get a card they keep secret, telling them if they're a villager, a werewolf, or something else (ie: hunter, sage, prince in disguise, etc.)....

But is it a kickstarter, or just DCC with Lankhmar going into the store?

Re: DCC Cthulhu Bestiary

I wrote Wrath of the Frost Queen, and it's on DrivethruRPG for a much lowered price since the original post. :D However: when you say "lovecraftian bestiary" do you want named, standard mythos critters? Or would "weird" creatures suffice? HPL did write with aliens in mind, like t...

The next GG kickstarter?

I got my 4th printing delivered, very cool, BUT now I have no reason to stroll down to the mailbox other than junk mail. SO! What do I have to look forward to now???? What are the thoughts on the next kickstarter? I'm thinking that I'd like to complete my module collection, but I'm not sure they're ...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

20! Amalthia feints then spins away from the phantoms, running around the other side and making a mad dash towards the cornfield. And the crowd goes wild! We've never seen anything like this before and all our years of... So... is Guang playing a now-revived Gran, who was seemingly ignored by the ph...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

I should mention Gran isn't here. She's with Bron, my warrior, studying the spellbook we got from the cannibal farmers a while back. Gran is likely well-dead, so Amalthia needs to figure her way out of this one. Honestly I hope she does, as I like playing her quite a bit. I know it's a funnel and al...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Okay, the instant they cross the threshold, bolt at top speed. Can I outrun them? Can I get a running jump to the first level of the cornfields? Posting this to know if I can survive these phantoms by running into the cornfield. Seriously: full run away from these phantoms. Zero desire to die here.

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been around. I guess I'm still not around. Falling behind in most things in my life atm, barely had time to breathe. Looks like Gran died? I'll have to read the back posts to find out what happened. Still interested in seeing how it all turns out, regardless. Woo hoo! She m...

Phantoms: Are they *within* the bounds of the graveyard? If not, how can they be within 5'? And have they been keeping pace with me even while I've been running? Are they gaining on me?

Also: Do I see anything at the top of the levels of the cornfield? It's stairs going away from the clearing, right? So what can we see up at the top? Also Also: I told my wife about this game. Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Ooooookay. Hmm... So to get up the terraces I'll need to climb. That'll slow me down, meaning the phantoms could catch me. Plus the cornhusk dolls will attack. In that case: I flee to the graveyard immediately. If the phantoms leave me alone after that, I'll see about resting. If not... we'll see.

If you run around the clearing, you pass four cabins, a graveyard, and a well, http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii635/RavenCrowking/SSH_zps6dukxohf.jpg Okay, GAME CHANGER!!! I had meant she was running out of the clearing along the edge of the cornfield. So between the trees and the cornfield, b...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Very well, then. Rolz says Gran is not that lucky. The phantoms are 30' away, coming from the north. Grabbing Gran's stuff, Amalthia runs away. She can probably pace the phantoms for a while, but the dead do not tire. Ahead of her, and to her left, there is a cabin. The door hangs open. To the righ...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Quickly grabbing Gran's lantern and pints of oil, and a torch and the rope, Amalthia bolts along the edge of the cornfield. She has no desire to enter the forest, and keeps an eye out for the vicious dolls. If forced into the woods, the elf will turn into the corn field instead, and just run, run, r...

Funds: 1sp 75cp Special items we should still have: silver holy symbol (me); staff parts (me); tarot deck; diary (me...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

ooc: Hoping Guang checks in again. If not, I'll rummage through Gran's things and hope for some kind of torch or something to set the cornfield on fire as I go: fighting the corn dolls is important, and I should be through the corn field well before the fire gets out of control behind me. Failing th...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Excellent. Okay, keeping a cautious eye on the cornfield for the sudden attack of some cornhusk dolls, Amalthia will pull on the parts of Gran that are fully out of the field and drag her all the way out. If that works, full checking for signs of life, and praying for some miracle to save this poor ...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Did this happen before we reached the cornfield? Am I in the cornfield, or just about to reach it? I ask as I'm debating whether or not to go over to her. I also take a moment to check the body for signs of change, such as becoming some kind of giant cornhusk doll thrall or scarecrow equivalent of a...

Okay, so Amalthia's clear. What of the other dolls? Have they wandered off, or are they coming to get a face full of the blade of a she-elf?

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

Amalthia yet lives! She's only been hit twice for a total of 2 damage from the cornhusk dolls, but has a whopping 4hp! Amalthia will attack the deadliest cornhusk doll on her: 9+2=11. If that doesn't do it, was Gran holding a torch as we fled? Any chance it touched some of the rows of dried corn and...

Re: Sour Spring Hollow

ooc: sorry for the delay. I'm pretty sure Amalthia's dead with that last bout of damage, but I'll double check. If we did die: Dang it! Also: I love that the sign of us all having died is being "RavenCrowking'd". So... My question, then, is if you'll run this in RL or (realistically) if I ...
