Re: Patrons supplement Kickstarter live!
Great news. Likely too late to have any chance of reaching me before I move next Monday (which means I won't get to caress its silky covers until the end of August), but great news nonetheless.

Re: Ennie nominations
Publishers don't really self-nominate. The process: 1) Publishers send multiple copies so the judges can be sent them and read and debate them. 2) The Judges decide among themselves on the handful of entries they consider the best in each category out of the HUGE swathe of books, etc. they're sent. ...

Re: Ennie nominations
For books published in the physical sense, you actually have to send in multiple copies (one for each judge). At least, when I ended up nominated for Best System that was certainly the case.

Re: Ennie nominations
Companies have to submit their games/supplements for consideration; if DCC wasn't submitted, that would explain its lack of appearance.

Re: Patrons supplement Kickstarter live!
Also wondering if anyone else has received theirs? I'm in the UK and haven't got mine yet, and with me moving in a fortnight, I'm getting a bit jittery about it arriving before I leave.

Third Party DCC Modules - Which Do You Really Love and Why?
WARNING: THERE BE SPOILERS HEREIN! Third party publishers have produced a lot of great modules for DCC, so it's time for some love. ;) Which third party modules do you especially enjoy and why? Try to give some details, don't be too vague, and don't worry about spoilers (it's a thread about adventur...

Re: Detemining creature Hp
It's simply useful to have the HP values already determined; saves anyone who does roll 'em the time of doing so.

Re: Detemining creature Hp
When I'm not pressed for time and HP totals don't really matter, I roll. When I'm pressed for time and they don't matter, I average. When they really matter (such as when I'm designing a specific significant NPC or important critter whose HP total reflects something about them, e.g. a low HP total f...

Re: Aereth Repritnt? PLEASE?!?
Joseph has said such a thing might be done down the road, but a straight reprint wouldn't be appropriate in my opinion, as DCC is very different in background, feel, and approach to standard D&D. A DCCified Aereth would be cool though, one more in-keeping with the weird fantasy vibe DCC has. Colin

Re: Four fixes for DCC
Apart from the fact that being vulnerable to iron means a lot more problems than simply not being able to use iron/steel weapons/armour, even having mithril comes with a raft of problems. I mean, it's rare, very desirable, attractive, and anyone with any lore knows elves carry the stuff. That makes ...

Re: Ability Increases
You haven't missed anything; there are no rules for regular ability increases. That gives you the freedom to houserule it as desired, ignore ability increases altogether (the benefits of which become ever less apparent as levels increase anyway), or make ability increases the focus of quests or adve...

Re: Patrons supplement Kickstarter live!
In the UK here, and no physical copy yet. That said, Sena posted only 9 days ago: "I have sent the first books out this week and the second batch will go out late next week."
So, the first batch is on its way, and the second batch has either just been sent, or will be today or tomorrow.

Sale: Doom of the Savage Kings, DCC Free RPG Day 2012, etc.
I'm a mod and even I'm not sure where to post this. ;) Moving to NZ necessitates selling much of my RPG collection. All in excellent-to-near mint condition unless otherwise specified (I look after my stuff). Non-smoking, non-pet home. I may consider some trades (in particular for a hardcover copy of...

Re: Limited edition/availabilty
I'd have happily pre-ordered two more modules + the Well of the Worm, but it'd have set me back $30 for the three modules, $20 more for shipping two of them, and another $10 to ship Well of the Worm later. $60 in total for three modules just wasn't a price I could justify. I can wholly understand th...

Re: New Kickstarter for Funkier (d18, d11, d15) dice
Just saw a post in their KS's comments section that concerned me, and it was from a statistician claiming that the dice seem to be heavily biased and so do not roll very randomly. He said he'll be testing them, but if it is true, it would be a deal breaker for me. If true, I'll definitely go for a k...

Re: Wizard Power
The Warriors are starting to complain and the poor Thief is really feeling underpowered. While the 18 Int *and* +1 Luck bonus *and* rolling for a birth augur that grants said bonus to spellcasting is certainly possible, unless I'd seen such miraculous rolls, I'd be sceptical. I'm also curious which...

Based on your response, I'm guessing you've never used DTRPG/RPGNow before. Firstly, you have to register on RPGNow. To do this, click the Log In link at the top of the page, then enter your details into the New Customer section. Then, when you've registered and are logged in, you should find that c...
