My favorites in no particular order: The Dragonfiend Pact: Good villain and lots of interesting encounters. Aerie of the Crow God: Just 'cos I like crows. Lost Tomb of the Sphinx Queen: New monsters, riddles, tough encounters. Plus it's one of the few adventures set in a desert. Perfect for making t...

The Dragonfiend Pact would be a good one for a small party. Although it's for 2nd level characters, it could be adapted for higher-level characters but I'd leave it the way it is for a smaller party. It's short as well so it won't take up more than a session or two. Of course, as with any adventure,...

Penumbra, Yes, in the tournament there was a 4 hour time limit for each round. Characters were fully healed and all their disposable items (potions, scrolls, charged magic items) replenished between rounds. If a character died in a particular round, he was brought back to life for the next round but...

Not to be a compaliner or anything, but we've found that the pre-gens have been a little lacking. For example, one of the clerics didn't have ANY ranks in Knowledge (religion) and the equipment they've been given was a little weak for their level (a party of 5th-level characters had on-average about...

A while back, AEG and Fantasy Flight Games made mini-adventures. They cost only $2.50-$3.00 US and were handy little things to add to your campaign when you wanted to have something happen to the PCs "on the road" or to try and level them before the next adventure. Although the AEG ones we...

My brother, a friend of ours, and I are coming down Wednesday afternoon and another friend of my brother's is flying in that afternoon as well. I'm sure they'd love to get a little gaming in before the con officially begins.

Excellent! I'm helping judge the first round of this year's tournament and am running one of the Thursday 4 pm, Friday 8am, noon, and 4 pm slots (busy day) but I can rearrange my Saturday and Sunday schedules. Hope we can make this work.

They're running Transmuter's Last Touch at Gen Con this year. Unfortunately, everything they were running was sold out in a matter of hours. I wanted a ticket so bad, it sounds really good. Ah, well, I'll just run for my group. It's much more fun to be on the delivering end of a TPK. And who says yo...

DCC #34 Cage of Delirium

I saw that DCC #34 would be available in August (the one with the Midnight Syndicate CD soundtrack). Will it be available at Gen Con? I'm going and would love to pick it up then.

Since I have a lot of players (8 at last count) and am running the Age of Worms out of Dungeon magazine, I run DCCs inbetween to level the party for the next segment. I've put the Mysterious Tower north of the town of Diamond Lake and the town of Carnelloe from Aerie of the Crow God a few days downs...

Oh, yeah. I tried to get into Hall of the Minotaur and The Transmuter's Last Touch at 3:30 today (12:30 PST) and both were already full! Getting into any kind of D&D is a pain.

You can always hope to get into a pickup game if someone wants to run something.

I really liked this one as well. Love that tablet golem! Man, I can't wait to run this for my players, seeing as how one of their villains is a dracolich who was once a consort to Tiamat.

My players managed to take out the end boss with a dismissal spell. Argh, now I have that huge spellbook to deal with.
But I'm sending them through Aerie of the Crow God next. I have a few additions to the Star Arms for them. MWA-HA-HA-HA!

Dungeon Crawl #0: Legends are Made

Just got this today and it looks really good. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the wizard Suto Lore! Erol Otus=Suto Lore. I could have swore I'd posted this here before, but I'm such a big fan of Otus's work that I did name one of my characters after him...His name was Suto Lore! Of course, he was...

I read the Player Pack yesterday and it talked about how a group could play in their slot with only 3 players instead of 4 if the fourth player didn't make it before the grace period is up. My question is: Is the scoring for a smaller team different than a full team since the smaller team is at a di...

What I'd like to see: 1. Minis in a boxed set, non-random so you know what you're getting. With box-art by Erol Otus! 2. Classic monsters and iconics with different alignments (as above). 3. Fully-assembled plastic or ralidium. I hate having to glue minis together! Painted or unpainted, makes no dif...

I'd like to see a few DCCs for higher level characters. Most of the DCCs are for characters around 4th-8th level. I can only run so many of those for my group. How about some for 16th-20th?
