modules that easily fit on the Purple Planet?
I'm going to start with the 0 level funnel. What DCC adventures fit well on the Purple Planet with just minor tweaking needed? Any suggestions?

Re: Do you own specialty dice (d5, d7, d14, etc)?
I have the dice but I use a d14 with 1-7 twice and a d10 with 1-5 twice since the odd dice roll oddly.

Mutant Crawl Classics pre-order?
I know kickstarter is all the rage now, but I wonder if Mutant Crawl Classics could be offered as a simple pre-order with a pdf available now and the book to follow in 2016? I pre-ordered DCC RPG before kickstarter (and DCC RPG!) existed and that worked out well. I'd sell my best podog for a pdf of ...

Re: Mutant Crawl Classics Classes?
Can people who have the GenCon 2015 book or have play tested MCC let us know about what classes are available in MCC and any interesting information about class abilities? I know any information at this stage is "in development" but I'm interested to see what, if any, parallels can be dra...

Re: Any reporting from GenCon?
Here are the names of some upcoming DCC modules: Intrigue at the Court of Chaos The One Who Watches from Below The Black Manse The Chained Coffin. Peril on the Purple Planet Glipkerpio's Gambit. I really like the sound of the Chained Coffin which is haunted Appalachian Mountain American folklore bas...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
I'm Charlie from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I've been gaming around 28 years. My first game as a player was AD&D (we didn't know it was 1E back then) with a lot of N1 and Village of Hommlet. I made it to the highest levels in my brother's campaign, 4th level (being a thief with low XP needs)! My fi...

Doom of the Savage Kings--how do we know if we will get it?
I have pre-ordered. I have my rocking 70s DCC RPG poster and free RPG adventure (not to mention new dice). How do I know if I will get a copy of Doom of the Savage Kings?

One of my players had one of his characters kill another one of his characters in a dispute. Funnel really brings out the roleplaying (and the aggression!).

Re: Would you use the DCC RPG for long term campaign play ?
As currently constituted? No. It's a fun one-shot - just like most of the great DCC modules of the past. Main reason: first page states it clearly enough... "You are not a hero". I want a classic Heroes Journey (Campbell, The Hero with a Thousand Faces (c) 1949) in my long-term play.-Dave...

Re: Would you use the DCC RPG for long term campaign play ?
I want to use it for a long-term campaign. The beta rules don't support that option, though, so I do think playtesting is not as accurate as it could be. I planned on trying a full campaign through the summer but that isn't possible now due to real life intruding. I've been reading some of the forum...

Free RPG day adventure demo--freakin' awesome
DCC RPG is even better than I had hoped. I had only two players show up but both want to come back next week with friends and start a summer campaign. Each player made six characters. The roleplaying started right at the first locked door. Steve the scribe suggested waiting for four hours until &quo...

Re: Joseph, update the free rpg day module pdf please?
The pdf isn't out yet, I'm looking at the physical copy. I'm just hoping Joseph will update the pdf before putting it out for download. It's too late to change the print module but I'm hoping the PDF version will get changed before going out.

Re: GENCON 2011 and DCC RPG
I will be at Gen Con on Friday and Saturday. I would love to run DCC beta for up to ten people (well, seven, since I'll have two friends with me). Saturday morning (but not 8 AM, that is just wrong, has to be at least 9 AM) or afternoon is best. Or both! If you are going to Gen Con and want to play ...

Joseph, update the free rpg day module pdf please?
I just had someone politely point out to me on enworld that the text in the free rpg day adventure doesn't match the beta. The wording is not as inclusive as it could be in the module as in the beta. The first qualification reads able-bodied adult in the module instead of fantasy enthusiast as in th...

"roll" weird die by turning pages in the DCC RPG?
Here's a suggested solution to the weird dice dilemma given by Neuronphaser on rpg.net : "this game -- should it require funky dice -- screams for 1 of 2 possibilities: 1. Box set. Blam! Done. Include the funky dice and some bits (minis, tokens, a mood ring, whatever) and you sell a bunch. 2. S...

Re: Hi, Joseph...Beta release question
I'd like to see a gamma (or delta) version as well. A few important things like recommending judges award 1-2 luck per adventure is fairly important to know but is hidden in posts on this forum.
Also, thief skill changes to d20 could be tested if that is the new direction.

Re: Which iconic D&D spells shouldn't be included ?
I don't want to see Mage Armor. Doesn't have the flavor of shield. Polymorph is a big trap spell. I'd rather see some iconic spells like Transform to Animal, Transform to Troll, Transform to Giant, and Transform to Dragon and call it good. Baleful Polymorph could just become Turn into Frog and call ...

Re: Percentage Thief Skills
I wonder if thieves could gain bonus dice to any attribute check that pertains to thieving (sneak, device, scale, pick pockets, sleight of hand etc.) with two additions. One, judges could set some DCs at 25 or higher for actions only thieves could do (detect a magic trap, pick a lock just by banging...
