Man and I thought we had a killer DM when I was in high school....

Dark Mistress is more like Venger than Dungeonmaster.

We are slated to play Temple of the Dragon Cult at our next session. The characters are a little below level, but the provided scaling info should balance it out. It looks like a nice quick module that could be played in a session or two. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Erol has done it again

May I say that the cover of DCC 34 is Erol Otus at his best. All the classic elements - bizarre monster, gnomish character, horn-helmed fighter, somebody biting the dust, etc. Simply brilliant. That's one for the DM screen or DCC calendar. 2007 is coming up soon, you know.

Lurking

I admit to lurking daily but rarely posting. Until I can get that DCC35 in my hot little hands, I haven't got much to add.

The original poster has a point though. In fact I bet some of those lonely Russian ladies are among our top posters!

Monarch Supermodule?

Just perusing the DCC titles, maybe you could patch together a Kings and Queens supermodule - Idylls of the Rat King, Revenge of Rat King, Legacy of the Savage Kings, War of the Witch Queen, and Vault of the Dragon Kings. Don't know if this makes any logical sense. I've only played the Idylls of the...

Favorite picture

Jason, did you do the scene in DCC 11 where the adventurer is getting kissed by the randy/grateful townswoman? That's my all-time favorite piece of art in the DCC series. The beating that poor sap got in the dungeon is nothing compared to the hell he's gonna catch from his jealous girlfriend on his ...

Setting then all in Geoff

After we finish up our current campaign, I intend to start up an old-school Greyhawk campaign based on the Liberation of Geoff TSR module, but using DCC as the adventures. All of it will be set in Geoff. Here's my plan: DCC' #'s 0, 1, 3, and 7 will be set along the Olvewater river in the north. The ...

Veri nice, Renshai! I like the updated map. Looks like you got everything covered. The portal idea is also a good one - this could even be a mild tie-in to the adventures. Now, what to call this place.... Goodmanland (say it fast like Newfoundland), Goodmania, Bonhomme-bria..... I see those islands ...

Solving Renshai's Problem

That is the kind of thing I was concerned about. Because the modules are so varied as to terrain, locale, etc. it gets to be difficult to make a logical fluid path to follow over the continent without a lot of criss-crossing. Not a problem for high levels but why would 1-3rd level parties be travell...

Sounds good

I'm very interested in your project. I've been gathering up some of the DCC modules for a possible all-crawl campaign. Keep up the good work. Looking at the map, are the locations put in a reasonable order - i.e. lower level stuff nearby with the party traveling farther afield as they progress? I'm ...

Thanks

Thanks for the info. The player in question is a sorceror, so I might pursue a half-dragon angle. Hmmm... half-dragon/half-fiend. Too much?

DCC Devil-lich without Drow

I am interested in using this module in my campaign but I was wondering how difficult it would be for me to modify it wothout Drow. I have bought the DCC module #8 (Mysteries of the Drow) and found it quite adaptable to my campaign. One of the players in the group had a conflict with Drow in his bac...
