Re: Art Preview: Jeff Dee
I meet Jeff at Dragon's Lair on Free RPG Day while he was promoting his new game, Cavemaster RPG. He was definitely a nice guy and seemed kind of young to have been an artist for AD&D. He must have been a teenager at the time. I liked Cavemaster as well. It won't replace DCC as my go-to game, bu...

Re: Free RPG Day
I'll be running a demo at: Fair Game 5150 Main St. Suite C Downers Grove, IL 60515 630-963-0640 http://fairgamestore.com/ I'll confess that I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to run. I had originally thought to run one of the short adventures in the core rulebook, or the Free RPG Day module. Then I t...

Re: DCC RPG sales
I noticed that Dragon's Lair in Austin, TX is having trouble keeping DCC RPG materials in supply. They're already out of core books and adventures and they said they will have to special order a copy of People in the Pit for me. This is really good for a game that really wasn't getting much promotio...

Re: Free RPG Day
I got the DCC RPG materials for Free RPG day so I can run demos next week. I think I remember Joseph or Harley mentioning that there will be other materials for those of us running demos. Are those available yet? How can/will we get them?

Re: DCC RPG reviewed at Enworld
Yeah, I've decided to stay away from Enworld too. The people who visit the site are a little too rabid in their love of WotC and the moderators tolerate it. I don't know if the site was always like this, but it has turned into an extension of the WotC PR department and only gives slight nods other g...

I still haven't gotten mine. Can someone check to see if it was even shipped to me? I haven't received any notice that I'm supposed to get this since I pre-ordered a while back.

Yes I really like the art for the classes. I think they all do a good job of capturing the theme of each class.

Re: CRAWL! fanzine
Hmmm...still waiting on mine. Haven't gotten my Sailors adventure yet either. I wonder if my mailman is gamer and stealing my stuff! No, that's the wrong game. In MUNCHKIN the goal is to steal each other's stuff. In DCC the goal is all to band together and watch each other die, praying the whole ti...

Re: What I'd like to see...
Actually, I like both covers and would be happy with a shirt with either design on it. The limited edition cover is really cool, but the other one is more likely to be long-term identified with the product as it's the one that would go into most game stores. If the goal is to advertise the game, it...

Re: What I'd like to see...
Yes, please make t-shirts of the Metal edition. That's such a cool design that I think people will buy it even if they don't know what DCC RPG is. They can easily be made on cafepress or spreadshirt. I would make one for myself but I don't have the original image to use.

Well I just thought it was kind of funny and thought I would share. In a larger context, this incident with WotC has helped solidified why I love Goodman Games. When Goodman Games wanted to get people involved in an open playtest of DCC RPG, they just set up a simple link to download the pdf of thei...

DimitriX expressed schadenfreude at WotC's inability to release to their playtest materials without stupid technological failures.

Re: Got one at FLGS
I got a call from my FLGS saying that my order for the limited edition came in. When I got there, they gave me the regular edition instead and then I told them of their mistake. The weird part was that I know that they have the books, but they hadn't put them out on the shelves yet...

Re: Complexity Level of DCC
When I showed the book to my players a few of them commented on how much there was in there and how complex it seemed. I think they saw table after table in the magic section and got concerned. But, there are a few things that help mitigate this concern. First, because there is no multiclassing, som...

Re: DCC Alignment question
While writing a 0-level adventure for my players, I decided to add some giant ants. I noticed that in the DCC RPG book that the alignment of giant ants is Lawful. This makes sense because every elementary school kid knows that ants live in colonies in which every ant has a job to do in order to ensu...

I agree with everything in the article. I'm actually enjoying creating a 0-level funnel for my players. I'm basing it off of the kernel of an idea that you posted about your funnel. I'm also using the Random Esoteric Creature Generator. One of the things I've discovered that I love about random tabl...
