Re: Mists of Madness (SPOILER ALERT)

The party made it through the Mists of Madness tonight. It was a close call. By the time they arrived at the final room, they had no healing surges, no weapons, and none had more than 18 hit points. The battle with the shades took place moments before and was particularly cruel. The party did well a...

Re: Mists of Madness (SPOILER ALERT)

So I'm gearing up to run a new party through this adventure this weekend and I've had a difficult time figuring out the conclusion. Assuming the party collapses the ceiling, how, exactly, do they get out? They were teleported to the chamber and I see an exit on the west wall of S-12. Where does it l...

Re: Isle of the Sea Drake Questions

Rats! Where was this yesterday when I ran a party through that encounter! We were close, but not quite exact. Still, it was a lot of fun. Thanks for the clarifications! Which reminds me, we ran into an issue with the random encounter table. The encounter for 12, Feeding, did not have an entry. I'm a...

Re: New Found Fan

Being the third and final session of Isle of the Sea Drake : We left off with the intrepid heroes entering the Dead City. Tonight they passed through the city, defeated the skeletal creatures (the Ape was pretty cool!) and challenged Imocotli to the death. That was a strange battle and we had a bit ...

Re: Citadel of the Corruptor Session Report *SPOILERS*

Session 2 was tonight. The battle with the grief wraiths was exciting. The wraiths really made things difficult and the paladin eventually persuaded the rest of the party to focus on the wraiths. In doing so, they were able to avoid having to slug it out with a few of the knights. I found a discrepa...

Citadel of the Corruptor Session Report *SPOILERS*

*** SPOILERS *** I run three different 4E groups. The main group is currently starting on the Paragon path and I was looking for a good DCC to insert into our existing campaign. I had planned on having the party journey to the frozen north to combat a barbarian tribe and with very little tweaking I ...

Re: New Found Fan

Isle of the Sea Drake Session 2 After Action Report! The party awoke on the beach and had some big decisions to make. A clever PC decided to try the Hand of Fate ritual which got them moving in a direction, albeit not the right one. They ended up hearing the airy horn blasts of the Shell-Blower and...

Re: New Found Fan

Our next session of Isle of the Sea Drake is this weekend (we're gluttons for punishment...we're planning a 3-4 hour session AFTER a 3-4 hour session earlier in the day of WWD&DGD or whatever the acronym is for the Game Day adventure) and I have a question that has given me a small amount of gri...

Re: New Found Fan

Here's a brief AAR of the first session in Isle of the Sea Drake. *** SPOILERS O'PLENTY *** The party was seriously challened by the tiefling boatswain and his Comiqui cohorts. The Brave went straight for the barbarian and they had a great slug-fest going while the hunter pinned down the thief with ...

Re: New Found Fan

I'm running Isle of the Sea Drake tomorrow for a new gaming group. Honestly, this is the most excited I've been in a long time. We run a 4E group every now and then with the WotC modules and they have all fallen fairly flat. I've done some homebrew stuff and it was better...but this...well, let's ju...

Re: DCC Sale and my F(?)LGS

Thanks to Mr. Goodman's tireless efforts (and a phone call), Hastur Hobbies just earned an "F", and I mean that in a good way! I just got back with a bag full of 4E DCC goodies at 20% off. The are back to FLGS status!

Cheers!

DCC Sale and my F(?)LGS

Today I went to Hastur Hobbies in Murray, Utah to purchase several 4E DCC modules. I notified the employee that DCC's were currently on sale (20% off) at select retailers and asked if they were honoring the sale. They were not aware of it and hence asked the manager. He said that "only stores t...
