Thanks for the thumbs-up. It was really fun project: a short, deadly sequel to Revenge of the Blackguard. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it was pure F. Wesley Schneider. The clockworks were just a natural extension of the idea, and a fun way to include some punch for the Dragonmech kid...

B-DM! That awesome! Eb is a great setting, and a good contrast to the DCCs --- nothing wrong with more roleplaying, especially if the adventures are being written in Colorado (the new Wisconsin ;) .) If I can get my current project laid to rest it would be fun to write up a mass combat version of th...

So I didn't have as much time as I would have liked, but here are two new versions of the module's chief villains. No warranties on these two – and if you find errors, the blame is mine for shoddy late night work, not Goodman Games. That said, enjoy! Played well, they should give your PCs a run for ...

B-DM, What a great couple of sessions! I'm sorry to hear that Stygoth went down so quickly, but PC legends are built on critical hits against the Big Dragon. :) I don't know when you guys are playing next, but I'll try to post beefier versions of the Forge defenders tomorrow morning. In lieu of that...

That's great! When I wrote the module I tried to evoke the flavor from the "Tomb of the Lizard King" and a little bit of "Keep on the Borderlands." (You'll probably recognize the elements right away. :) )

Good catch! I'd give the gate a hardness of 5, 80 hp, and a Break DC of 30. Moving the gate is a little more tricky, since there aren't handles or handholds on the outside for PCs to grasp. Inside , Str check: DC 20. Outside , Str check: DC 30. Explanation: Graah (Str bonus +5 ) takes 10 when...

Re: GEN CON!

MINIATURES? there are miniatures? Nods! From the "Vault of the Dragon Kings" tournament. And they rock! Scavenger Hunt was a blast. My own demo game culminated in: (Harley shouting at another DCC author) You want some of this, hyena boy?! Bring the pain! Nothing can top the weasel story t...

GEN CON!

Simply, Goodman Games had an amazing showing. A killer (!) DCC tournament, signings by THE Dave Arneson, tons of new products, awesome miniatures, multiple mentions in the upcoming Gamers movie, and friendly staffing throughout the duration of the entire con (which is no small feat in itself). As a ...

I was just reading the most recent issue of KODT and saw your advertisement for DCC #3. That's right, #3. This is the only advertisement you've ever placed, and it runs in every issue. I guess my advice would be to make sure your PCs are smart and don't panic. And make sure they are the balanced party format. A party of six rogues won't cut it. Chris has the heart of it: group balance and intelligent play. Despite its share of bloodthirsty combat, I wrote Legacy to be a thinking ...
