Selling Castle Whiterock and Sinister Secret thereof
EDIT: Re-listing today... Hi all, I am selling a good Castle Whiterock set and module 51.5 Sinister Secret of Whiterock on ebay. You can find it here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/barrataria/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= Sorry if this is not on-topic, but I saw treebore's post about 51.5...

Re: Castle Whiterock question - how standalone is it?
Sorry to repeat if it was already said somewhere in this thread, but I just got this and it's fairly explicit with suggestions on how to use the individual pieces as separate dungeons. So, it's designed with the idea that you take levels 5 and 5A and use them in your world as one dungeon, and 6 and ...

Open thanks to Joe and Co.
I wanted to send a big thank you to Joe for the ridiculously quick shipment of my order of Castle Whiterock (which if any reading this didn't notice, is on sale for a ridiculously discounted price in the store :) ) It was shipped via media mail; I ordered it on 7/15, and it arrived in California tod...

scale/size question
Greetings all... I've been looking at reviews and samples and unable to determine... how big is this thing? I see somewhere that the Northlands are about 3000 miles across... how big is the whole map? As you can probably tell I'm trying to guess how hard it would be to cram into another world... jus...

I'm no expert on the turn around time for products to go to the printer and come back but four months seems like a long time. I want it now!!! Here's my understanding of the situation, at least based on how the DCC World boxed set worked last year (which was the same - limited GenCon release, then ...

DCC 35 is great. There's a broad range of all kinds of stuff, and several probably won't fit with your campaign. But there's so many adventures, that doesn't matter at all. Definitely something for everyone. Most of them are fairly small too, so handy for a beginning session when you need to have ti...

One thing that is a drag is figuring out spellcasters. Many of the 3E spells (at least the ones module designers always use: cat's grace, stoneskin, etc.) are not in C&C, and the spells per day are all different. I'm not comfortable improvising those; take the time to figure out who should be ab...

I actually got mad at that, because I momentarily got VERY excited when I thought Joseph was being serious.

Interview with Joseph at Dundracon
Joseph and Steve Chenault of Troll Lord were interviewed by someone at Dundracon:

It's about 2/3 of the way through the sound clip.
Note Joseph's explanation of the success of DCCs

DCC new printing format
Joseph, I just picked up Legacy of the Hero-Kings, and it's very cool. I did notice one thing however. They were on the new releases shelf with no shrink-wrap, and there happened to be two in the particular cubbyhole/shelf. So the guts of the module had slipped out of the covers a bit. I don't know ...

not that I know of
I don't even think any of them specify possible settings. I think it's part of the point of the whole series that they can go anywhere. I've placed some in Greyhawk for my 1E campaign, some on Cerilia (Birthright) for my B/X D&D campaign, and I haven't figured out what to do with the Drow one ye...

I wanted to recommend these rules highly to everyone here, especially those that are fans of the Dungeon Crawl Classics. The rules are light but apply well to any situation that a DM could face. The new old classes are interestingly rendered and immediately evoke campaign ideas, at least to me. I ce...

Smuggler's Cove
Just wanted to post and thank Joseph and all for a great adventure. Smuggler's Cove was the first DCC that I've run, and it went incredibly well. It happened to fit nicely in a pirate campaign I was running, and the locathah/druid elements in the final stages were different and great. Also, I change...

Change your splash page
Joseph, is that big Geek Wars splash page what you want to be the first thing everyone sees when they come to your website? I mean, I guess it is because it's set up that way. But you have so many "serious" and well-done gaming products that I wonder if some will get turned off when they f...

Today I got the Dragonfriend Pact, which I haven't read much yet, and the Mysterious Tower... AWESOME! It's one of the best modules I've read in a long, long, long time. It is exactly as DCCs are billed... clean, quick, and good. It can go almost anywhere in a campaign, and can become an important l...

Wow, and where is everybody?
I just got the Sunless Garden the other day, and it looks great. I have looked at GG stuff several times, but have been gun-shy after having bought loads o junk that looked like 1E but smelled like garbage when opened. I'm pretty shocked to see such a small forum for such cool products which seem to...
