The DMs I know are eager to show Mr. Cook and friends a very, very (deadly) good time.
Watch out....he might get mad and drop a Ptolus book on you <squish>

Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be able to solicit any ticket trading on the Gen Con Forums (which I can understand...that could lead to serious abuse).

Hopefully, someone will follow the link here and help facilitate this swap.

Eleran....I will most certainly save the ticket for you. I'm hoping for a swap out for the Thursday two ticket session with the Friday two ticket session, or vice versa. I'll PM you and/or jfrenia when all this (hopefully) gets resolved. Fathead: Thanks much for the post on the GC Forums, I'll go ov...

Who wants to swap time slots for DCC Tourney?

Hey all....another fun year of dealing with the Gen Con registration site. Because of a combination of registration slowness, the popularity of this event (hooray!!), and some panic/mis-communication on the part of myself and my team members, we've got tickets all over the map. Looking to possibly s...

We Flunked Flank is from Cincinnati too? Ha. We should meet up for drinks sometime and share tournament war stories. We should definitely do that!! What part of town are you in? We live amongst the bowling alleys and beer league softball that is the West Side (Delhi, Westwood, Cheviot, etc). Name a...

Tell us more about what happened in that room! I'm intrigued. Give us details! What happened? :) As far as the orcs went, nothing but feathered death!!! The fact that we watched an orc shaman get disintegrated while trying to reach in and get the dagger had us FREAKED OUT. We went there again when ...

None of the other teams detected that room on level 3, so they dont know what you are talking about :D Whoops, my bad. To set it up, circular room with a dagger that's very important to the conclusion of the dungeon suspended in a red globe of energy. Two orc shamans and 3 (blinking!!) orc warriors...

My favorite moment was in Round 3 in the room with the dagger and the orc shaman. We got the drop on those guys and our repeating crossbow guy got to go 'Scarface' all over the orcs with a little "Say hello to my little friend" before wiping everything in the room with crossbow death. Brou...

All I know is that I really enjoyed trying to maximize the effects of the Wiz/Cleric spell list. Admittedly, it wasn't a spell list that I normally would've pick coming in, but by the end of the tournament, I gained a new understanding of the usefulness of some of the spells.....especially "Sou...

As far as picking your own spells.... I could see that getting very messy during the course of tournament play. One thing I've noticed from the DCC tournaments is that the modules are play tested VERY thoroughly and the character builds are always unique and cool. Part of the tournament format is ta...

While I agree with the concept, I'm not sure on the spirit of the substitution... What would prevent a team that advanced to Round 2 to sub out a player they didn't think performed well or knew the rules well enough? Or to include a friend instead of a pick up player? Or to make room for someone wh...

Great GEN CON experience

I had a great time in the Devil Lich tourney. You guys win the award for "First edition feel, third edition rules". And kudos to Jason Little...an amazing DM running an amazing adventure (though it seems that his dice rolls suffered throughout the entire weekend). I only wish my team (What...
