You've not seen Twin Peaks?

Heretic.

Run out and get it now, so that you may properly savor the brilliant madness of David Lynch and Mark Frost.

And the coffee and pie.

Mmmmmmm ... pie.

Puzzle writing is always a challenge. I tend to include them in the DCCs I've written, because I consider them part of the old-school dungeon crawl experience. However ... conveying everything that's in your head to a DM - and what a DM needs to explain to his/her players - is often difficult. I've ...

It's not.

Trust me. :)

But I'm glad that Aereth and 4e are going to have some natural common ground. It should make our job of writing new and exciting DCCs for you guys a little easier.

The announcement stated somewhere in the fine print that promotional materials - meaning free stuff - can be produced and distributed prior to August 1. From ENWorld: Will the Phase One program make subsequent releases (the PHB 2, for instance) available to publishers more quickly? No, it won't. The...

What I DO tire of is the neat, clean endings. I'm looking for something a little more gritty and meaningful...the sort of books that you think back on frequently. Any suggestions there? Try Gene Wolfe's "Book of the New Sun" series - the books in it are "Shadow/Claw" and "S...

White Wolf, IIRC, published paperback collections of virtually all the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser stories around the same time they were printing the Moorcock collections (mid-1990s?). I've been on a kick lately re-reading a lot of Michael Moorcock fantasy books that were originally published in the 1960s and 1970s. I devoured that stuff when I was younger ... and I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I still like it. Elric of Melnibone, of course, rocks on toast. But my favo...

Two other things Rick and I have been discussing off-and-on about the DCC/UCC project: 1) Ideally, I think we need a section detailing to the DM how adventuring in a city is different than a "standard" dungeon crawl. When you go into an orc's lair, there's no repercussions for slaying the ...

Cool stuff. Please keep the 'designer notes' on this one coming - keeping the internal mechanics of a 48 to 56 page module consistent is a bit of work (at least for me), so I'd love to know how you guys handled a 700+ page module. There's ways into the various levels of Whiterock without having to start at ...
