Goodman Games World Tour 2016

2016 World Tour
The 2016 World Tour is underway!

Will you join us in our quest to own the roads and dominate the landscape? Organize, advertise, and judge a game of Dungeon Crawl Classics (or any Goodman Games game!) this year at a public venue. Run your game at a convention, game day event, FLGS event, local watering hole, or school gaming club. Join our Road Crew!

And what's in it for you, besides your opportunity to ride with us forever through a thousand insane worlds? Swag! That's right -- the more games you run, the more neat stuff we send your way. Plus of course your name joins the other Immortals in the Road Crew.

For details about how to sign up, and pictures of all the cool stuff you can get, visit the World Tour 2016 page on our website!

50 Fantastic Functions for the D50
Fifty Fantastic Functions for the D50

For years, legendary gaming icon Colonel Lou Zocchi has sold the esoteric 50-sided die at his convention booths. Now Goodman Games brings you, at long last, Fifty Fantastic Functions for the D50! This entertaining book contains more than 50 entries describing how to use the D50. Ranging from randomized tables to customized game mechanics, this book will ensure everyone at your table can't wait to use their D50! If you don't have a D50 yet, you can still use the book by rolling D% and dividing the result by 2 -- but after a glance through this tome you will be motivated to run out and buy your own d50!

Written By Steven Bean, Daniel J. Bishop, Jobe Bittman, Tim Callahan, Michael Curtis, Tom Denmark, Jon Hershberger, Jon Hook, Edgar Johnson, Doug Kovacs, Brendan LaSalle, Brad McDevitt, Peter Mullen, Stephen Newton, Terry Olson, Stefan Poag, Harley Stroh, Jim Wampler, Jim Ward and Colonel Lou Zocchi himself!

Synthetic Swordsmen of the Purple Planet

A level 5 adventure by Jim Wampler

What ancient mysteries lie in wait for you at the planet's northern pole, as you explore the timeworn and failing biosphere plant found sprawling there amongst the ice peaks? Will you save your harsh but adopted home, or hasten its eventual doom?

This adventure features new background material that expands the campaign setting, including a new House of Ascended Masters, new weapons and ancient technology to plunder, and a surprising new species of Kith warriors.

Dungeon Crawl Classics reviews

Mike at Old Guy Gaming recently took the plunge into DCC RPG, and has some great things to say about it:

"... I felt swept back to 1974. The artwork, the layout, the overall presentation really felt like something from the old magazines you found in a hobby shop back in the 70's. There was a wave of nostalgia that I didn't anticipate. I have to say that it was pretty wonderful. I didn't expect to ever again recapture that feeling I had back in the early days, when I first discovered fantasy role-playing games."

And for the polar opposite of "old guy gaming", check out Judge Carrie's first time running a DCC game all on her own at Living4Crits! Make sure you watch the video; it's possibly the cutest DCC RPG-related thing you've ever seen.

World-Quest of the Winter Calendar
World-Quest of the Winter Calendar
by Steve Bean Games

World-Quest of the Winter Calendar is a 0-level funnel designed especially for players -- and Judges -- who've "been there, done that" when it comes funnels.

In World-Quest, the PCs are thrust into a lost, "living morality tale." They have to explore six chapters of the tale and interpret what they see to a god. Their re-counting works like a great, big cosmic game of "Telephone," fueling a ritual that changes the very nature of their world! The changes affect the Judge's campaign setting in terms of both narrative and game mechanics.

This module weighs in at a whopping 50 pages of content!

  • A 28-page adventure,
  • Two new Patrons -- the Devil-Wraith of Grim Inchyron and The Logos of Lamushea (complete with Invoke Patron and Patron Taint tables and new Patron Spells), and
  • A new class, a race of elf-kin called the Zvarts.

Carnival of the Damned
The Carnival of the Damned
by David Baity

In this new funnel adventure from Purple Sorcerer Games, a band of villagers are trapped in a mist-shrouded carnival in the dead of night, facing death at every turn. Can they survive twisted oddities like the corpse-filled Tunnel of Love and the dreaded Bone Coaster?

Filled with fantastic art, the Carnival of the Damned unleashes nightmares into any campaign, with encounters refined and polished by the anguished screams of hundreds of players at conventions like Dragon Con and Gary Con!

For judges, the adventure fills many needs: author David Baity has crafted over 30 encounters and dozens of random threats. There is enough content for days of tournament play, or judges can select a smaller collection of favorite dangers for a quick DCC funnel session. For sandbox-style play, judges can extract individual encounters whenever a twisted challenge is needed in any old school system. There's even a haunting backstory for those looking to integrate the adventure into an extended campaign.

And there's clowns. Lots and lots of clowns.
