Let’s talk about Gary.
Today we celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Gary Gygax. And I do mean celebrate. Everyone here at Goodman Games can talk about how much that one man changed their life. Each of us has stories about what he did to alter our future in ways we couldn’t imagine back when we were too young to think about how we would make a living years later. And it goes beyond that, because we are fortunate enough to be working in an industry that we love.
And if you are reading this, you have that same story. Role-playing games are a part of your life, enough so that you came to read these words. You spend time with a hobby—or profession—that you love. He and Dave Arneson paved the path for us and made all of this possible.
Dungeons and Dragons changed our lives.
So, thank you Gary Gygax. From the bottom of our hearts, we owe you a huge debt of gratitude.
